Ok…Ok…Ok…Maybe we don't need to Rethink God, but many of us need to Rethink Church!
My Calling
For years God has been calling me (Jim Cedar) to three things:
To bring the hope and life of Jesus Christ to the broken, lost, and hurting people of this world.
To help people understand their purpose and to help them develop a passion for life abundantly.
To empower and guide people to live out their passion for Jesus.
Being called to plant a Reframe Church location and grow a network.
After spending nearly a decade in vocational ministry (as a Senior Pastor), God released me and is calling me to a simpler way of being the church.
I am called by God to lead a ministry focused on those disillusioned with the organized church. This calling comes from a deep conviction that everyone deserves to experience God's transformative love and grace, without the barriers or wounds that may have been caused by institutionalized religion.
My calling is to establish a welcoming, authentic, and transformative space where individuals can encounter the love of Jesus Christ, experience genuine community, and grow in their faith. With a heart full of compassion and a commitment to authenticity, inclusivity, relevance, and transformation, I am eager to embark on this journey to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those disillusioned with the institutional church. I trust that through this ministry, many will come to know the love of Christ and discover their place in the family of God.
I am called to reproduce Reframe Church in other communities. My vision is to create a model that can be adapted and implemented elsewhere, empowering individuals to reach out to those who are disillusioned with the church in their neighborhoods. By sharing resources, training, and support, I aim to inspire others to cultivate welcoming and transformative spaces where people can encounter the love of Christ and experience a genuine community. Together, we can extend this ministry's impact and help even more individuals find their place in the family of God.
The ministry of Reframe Church does not oppose traditional churches; in fact, my family and I actively attend a church where we enjoy both receiving ministry and serving alongside its members. The church is much more than just a physical building; it is the body of believers and the very family of God that constitutes the true essence of the church.
Being called to the Reframe Church Engagement Project
In a world marked by increasing numbers of individuals leaving the church, feeling disenchanted or wounded, there arises a profound need for reflection and transformation within our churches.
There is an urgent need for introspection and healing within our congregations.
My calling is to help churches foster an environment where they can humbly and honestly evaluate their practices, attitudes, and structures that may unintentionally push people away, thereby creating spaces where all feel welcomed, valued, and spiritually nurtured.
By addressing the dechurching phenomenon head-on, I believe that churches can become vibrant, life-giving communities that reflect the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ.
I invite church leaders, members, and all who share this vision to join me in this vital ministry.
Together, we can create a more compassionate and welcoming church environment where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued.
