Multiplying Disciples and Expanding God's Kingdom

The multiplication of our locations is rooted in the biblical principles of discipleship, evangelism, community building, and kingdom expansion. Just as the early church grew rapidly and effectively through the power of the Holy Spirit, Bar.Church can multiply in a way that honors God and fulfills the Great Commission. This multiplication plan will be implemented in stages, with a focus on spiritual depth, leadership development, and community impact.

1. Foundation: Prayer and Dependence on God (Acts 1:14, Acts 2:42)

Before any multiplication can occur, we will lay a foundation of prayer, seeking God’s guidance and timing. We recognize that growth is only possible through God’s power, and we will remain spiritually dependent on Him. Prayer will be central to our multiplication strategy at every step.

Action Steps:

  • Commit to continuous prayer for direction, resources, and the expansion of Bar.Church.

  • Host regular prayer meetings specifically for multiplication and growth.

  • Encourage every member to be a part of the prayer process, seeking God’s vision for our future.

2. Discipleship and Leadership Development (2 Timothy 2:2, Matthew 28:19-20)

Multiplication requires a strong foundation of discipleship and leadership. We focus on making disciples who are equipped to lead and multiply. This involves teaching others to follow Christ, baptizing them, and training them to teach and lead.

Action Steps:

  • Implement a comprehensive discipleship program that trains and equips leaders at every level, from new believers to seasoned leaders.

  • Identify and mentor emerging leaders who show potential to plant and lead new locations.

  • Establish leadership pipelines where leaders can be nurtured, trained, and released to start new locations.

  • Encourage leaders to model Christlike leadership and cultivate spiritual maturity in their lives and in others.

3. Reaching the Lost and Spreading the Gospel (Acts 1:8, Romans 10:15)

A critical part of multiplication is evangelism - the spreading of the gospel to new areas and communities. We will focus on reaching the lost by creating a culture of evangelism, empowering everyone to share their faith and invite others into a relationship with Jesus.

Action Steps:

  • Launch outreach initiatives that engage local communities, such as service projects, events, and community partnerships.

  • Equip members with tools for personal evangelism, encouraging them to build relationships and share the gospel wherever they go.

  • Leverage technology (social media, live streaming, etc.) to spread the gospel beyond current geographical locations and reach new areas.

4. Building Strong, Multiplying Communities (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25)

Multiplication requires multiplying healthy, vibrant communities that are united in their mission. We prioritize building strong community foundations, where believers are encouraged, supported, and equipped to grow in faith and mission.

Action Steps:

  • Establish community groups to foster deep relationships and spiritual growth.

  • Focus on fellowship through regular gatherings, small groups, and other events that build a sense of belonging.

  • Develop a leadership team that nurtures the growth and health of the community and ensures that new members are integrated into the church.

  • Encourage members to actively serve one another, both within the church and in the surrounding community.

5. Releasing and Planting New Locations (Acts 13:1-3, Matthew 9:37-38)

As we grow and reach new areas, we will multiply by planting new locations. Church planting is a biblical strategy for spreading the gospel and establishing the kingdom of God. Bar.Church will release leaders and resources to start new locations in cities, neighborhoods, and regions where there is a need for the gospel and a desire for a vibrant, healthy church community.

Action Steps:

  • Identify strategic areas for new locations based on prayer, research, and community needs.

  • Send out planting teams consisting of leaders, volunteers, and resources.

  • Provide ongoing support for new locations, including financial resources, leadership coaching, and mentoring.

  • Empower those that plant to have ownership of the mission in their locations, while remaining connected to the broader vision and mission of Bar.Church.

6. Supporting Kingdom Expansion Through Service and Social Justice (Micah 6:8, Matthew 25:35-40)

Our multiplication is not about growing the organization; it is about expanding the impact of God’s kingdom in the world. Bar.Church will be intentional in its efforts to meet the needs of the marginalized and to advance justice and mercy in the communities it serves.

Action Steps:

  • Engage in local outreach by providing for the needy, and working for justice in the community.

  • Partner with organizations that are committed to advancing social justice, mercy, and righteousness.

  • Encourage each location to have a focus on serving the community in tangible ways and demonstrating Christ’s love through action.

7. Continual Evaluation and Adaptation (1 Corinthians 9:22-23)

As we continue to multiply, it is important to evaluate progress and adapt strategies for maximum impact. By remaining flexible and responsive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can ensure that every location is staying faithful to the Great Commission and the mission of multiplying disciples and communities.

Action Steps:

  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate our spiritual health, growth, and impact.

  • Celebrate milestones and key achievements as we multiply.

  • Be open to feedback from attendees, leaders, and the surrounding community to ensure continued growth and alignment with God’s.

At Bar.Church, we have the opportunity to multiply not just by gathering people but by equipping them to become disciple-makers themselves. This aligns with both the Great Commandment (restoring love for God and others) and the Great Commission (making and multiplying disciples).
